My name is Marie Carmel de Guzman, a Filipina drummer/musician. This is my online drumming profile :) I started playing drums at the age of 11. I also learned other instruments like keyboards and guitar but preferred to focus on enhancing my drumming skills. I sometimes do back-up vocals, too. Why drums? Im just happy playing it and I love the sound of drums. I agree with what Levon Helm said, "Drums just always sounded like the most fun part of that good music for me". Also, my dad plays the drums so I got inspired to pick up the drumsticks too :) I play rock (alternative, grunge, punk, blues rock, glam rock, hard rock, punk rock, progressive rock, indie rock, j-rock, etc. :-D ), funk, rnb, hip-hop, soul, ballad, blues and some jazz.
